November 89 I was in a plane and it’s why I became a meteorologist.  Diverted to ISP after they closed.  I can’t think of any case similar to this here honestly.  Both those events were basically frontal squall lines

You're right....in the old days they'd keep the roof open to equalize the pressure differences.

Labor Day 1998 and the May 31 - June 2 dual outbreaks earlier that year largely avoided the Philly area apart from some straight line winds from the edge of the derecho. IDK about 1989.

Im legit scared at how heavy the rain is and the radar. Sump pump is already going off like crazy.  The models that had 6 to 8" for central and ne nj may wind up being right on the money
