CoralRed Posted February 2 Getting back to current weather, Channel 16 said on the 11 o'clock news that we would get 6 more inches here in Williamsport. That surprised me. Let's see if we get it.
CarlislePaWx Posted February 2 Here's my midnight recap for the storm in Carlisle. At midnight it continued to snow very lightly. During the past 2 hours only 0.1" of additional snow was recorded. That brought the daily total (for Monday 2/1) to 5.7". The previous day (1/31) recorded 3.7" of snow. The 2-day storm total was 9.4". The liquid equivalent from today's snowfall of 5.7" was 0.70". This included 0.3" of snow and sleet (0.03") and 0.07" of freezing rain. I will be back in the morning to finish this report with the SLR's from each day and the 2-day average SLR. Maybe I'll get one more inch overnight to exceed December's total by 0.1". My board has been cleared and ready for anything that might fall overnight. See you all in the morning! Dead calm here lol Wind wasn’t forecasted for here - just saying it’s a waste to have this much drift-able snow without any wind. But am really surprised you’re not getting wind in York.

Greensnow Posted February 2 Was jealous of the LSV yesterday afternoon when you guys were under those death bands but eventually it set-up over NEPA and crushed from roughly 7:30 to midnight. Under a very heavy band this AM. Most locations are somewhere between 18-24". I am at roughly 20" IMBY.

Jan 2016 Mar 2017 Mar 2018 Dec 2020 Jan 2021 Not to mention the surprise pre-Thanksgiving storm in 2018 where MDT picked up 9" and we had over 10" here a little further north of Harrisburg prior to sleet onset. Crazy times.

Not bad for an area that historically averaged about 1 or 2 per every 10 years.
