Even though the radar has not look impressive the past hour 0.17 fell at LGA, 0.11 at JFK, and 0.10 at NYC.  JFK and EWR are now 32...LGA had been 32 but went up to 33.  NYC is still 33

0z Nam has great frontogenesis around midnight for the NYC area. Maybe some thunder?

NAM precip type maps also shows a change to sleet for the city and rain for LI during some of the heavier precip not sure if its right but something to look out for

Yea temp down to 32 across the city, a bit lower than I expected. Def think the city has a chance to stay all snow, it'll be close

Heavier rates breaking down before reaching the city again.

Wait around 10-11 for the banding to come up. That's when we should start ripping.

Heavy precip developing down in S Jersey, that'll get pushed into the cold air thus significantly increasing rates.

Intensifying lows can have some very high snowfall rates and 2"+ per hour amounts wouldn't surprise me with this.
