More than March 2007 when we had 6" of pure sleet?

Someone did but not me.

27 in Piscataway with a wind-driven heavy sleet.

Either the wind is blowing the snow so hard at my windows that it's pinging ... or it's sleet mixing in again in Tarrytown. Likely the latter.

Winds really picking up as the low rapidly deepens to our south. Wind gusts now close to 50 mph around the area. Small branches coming down here in SW Suffolk.

This is as far N and W those 850s should get / this should begin to pivot as the coast dry slots in a few hours after the rain along Jersey Shore and sleet in NYC .

N and W the show goes on

There is a sickening image. So what separated us from raging blizzard and a winter weather advisory it was about a 15-mile swing

Dont think i remember have such a ferocious sleet storm.  Epic waste of precip.  Makes me sick to think of the white out conditions we'd be having with all this heavy precip and wind.

:(:(:(

WSW should have been kept up in NYC on account of the endless sleet.

I'd rather have 5 inches of snow per hour then an inch plus of sleet, but this is a pretty awesome storm IMO.

Just saw another lightening strike across the Hudson in Jersey City....

Mix should get well NW of the 850mb freezing line since the warmest level is above 850mb.  Hopefully we start seeing the western side of this mix line start dropping southward.
