MN Transplant
Still running with the hottest Septembers on record. DCA's average low is 61 now. We haven't seen that number since early June. 73 was the low this morning.
North Balti Zen
Am I missing the big cool down that a few of you have been talking about? I still see 70s for highs and 60s for lows through most of the 15 day...and not a lot of rain, at all.

And 70s (if there are low dewpoints) are a good improvement from the 80s we've been having.

It just means it's going to be cooler than it has been. I'll take dry and 70s for highs any day.

North Balti Zen
To be clear, wasn't complaining about 70s for highs and 60s for lows, was just noting that is still warmer than normal for this time of year and that I wasn't seeing the cool shot that had been talked about - and MN notes that GFS has backed off a bit. Yeah it definitely backed off. I just can't wait until mid 60s dewpoints are super difficult to reach - it might not be oppressive but it's uncomfortable for Sept 21! North Balti Zen
80 at noon at BWI - warm for this time of year still. We are deep enough into the month that we have a chance at top 10 warmth for the 3 airports I would presume, even if we finally make it back to seasonal over the next 10 days. EastCoast NPZ
Hopefully, this is the last day of summer. So looking forward to finally being able to sit on the patio, light the fire pit, and sip on some fall brews. The upshot is that my wood is so dry that I could light the fire using a magnifying glass under the moon-light.

MN Transplant
Hopefully we can score some rain with the frontal passage on Tuesday, because it looks really dry (barring surprise tropical) otherwise. Thankfully, this does look like the end of the significant heat. Every day we burn in a cooler pattern gets us to the end of the 90° season. Stormpc
Im going to embrace and enjoy this last scorcher. Even so it's only slightly uncomfortable for two or three hours in the afternoon. Cool mornings cool evenings sandwiched in with the few hours of heat. We can deal with this. Congratulations to us. We deserve the break.
