that same buoy I posted, a couple posts up is down to 998 now. 

 

the next few NAM runs might melt the server. 

The next 6 to 12 hours  will be critical to the evolution of this storm. Most models have the low tracking due east later today before turning northeast tomorrow. This eastern jog takes the system too far from the coast for most of us.

* LOCATIONS...SUFFOLK COUNTY.

* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW AND WIND.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATION OF 4 TO 8 INCHES.

* WINDS...NORTHEAST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH 30 TO 35 MPH GUSTS.

* TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S.

* VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER TO ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.

* TIMING...SNOW DEVELOPS LATE TONIGHT...AND THEN THE HEAVIEST SNOW

WILL FALL FROM THE MONDAY MORNING COMMUTE THROUGH MONDAY

AFTERNOON.

* IMPACTS...THE COMBINATION OF STRONG WINDS AND A HEAVY WET SNOW

WILL BRING DOWN TREE LIMBS AND POWER LINES. HAZARDOUS TRAVEL

CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO GREATLY REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND

SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS. BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF SNOW

Weird. And for a fish storm too.

I guess fish live in suffolk county. Ill take it.
