March 5th Storm Obs/Nowcasting

Going to plug my work for a second here. NASA's GPM satellite had a well-timed overpass of this storm at 3:35 pm. Here are some quick look images. The top 3 panels of the cross section (NW to SE along the red line on the map) are the radar in different modes and the bottom 2 are dual-frequency reflectivity ratio (should correspond to snowflake size and seems to agree with ground observations of smaller flakes further NW in in the storm). Also, keeping this relevent, 6" in Wheaton beating the 5.5 on 2/21.
