Okay gang I'm determined to join the party one way or another! Since it's looking more & more likely that I won't have obs to post I'm going to go ahead & start the obs thread. Barring a unforeseen collapse in modeling a large part of the deep south is getting winter weather. Good luck to all of you & may the winter weather gods be on your side.

I like the idea of a dedicated thread. I am concerned for us snow lovers that the east trend in the latest GFS, back to what it was a few days ago, is the final track. That being said, it looks like isolated snow showers here in the mountains but still not enough to break our snow drought.

Hopefully we can refine this after the 12Z runs. We are due!

* HAZARD TYPES...SNOW AND SLEET.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE TO TWO INCHES WITH

LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS. SLEET ACCUMULATIONS AROUND HALF AN INCH.

* TIMING...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP ACROSS THE AREA BY MID
