While we are talking about maps/Sam's maps, another "like" is...

Amateur or professional forecasts/maps that include terrain differences (be it SE flow or NW flow or whatever the wind flow, it matters in NNE) in their snow forecasts.

It matters in SNE too...and most usually have maps that highlight the eastern slopes of the Berks or ORH Hills in say a easterly flow nor'easter.

But NH can have 4" of snow in Bretton Woods with downslope off the Whites, while Conway gets 14" on SE flow. Same system can give 4" to Lyndon State College, while Stowe-Jay east slopes get 14" and the the west slope into BTV gets 4". Or the other way around with NW flow.

Props to anyone who includes or tries to include those differences based on H85 wind direction and a knowledge of New England geography.

I began these threads with an ulterior motive, what you can see is that a lot of these terms we started here and have fun with. We are a great crew of weather folks with a common love for weather. we poke fun, make up terms, lighten up each others days. When the time is right we concentrate on discussions that are important to a lot of peoples lives. do not let the Debbies and holier than thou folks get you down. New England rocks.
