You need to sharpen your chase skills lol. I woke up this morning and started choking. I couldn't figure out what it was. I even felt a little buzz. That's when I looked outside and realized I was smoking cirrus like a cowboy. 8 degrees and smoking cirrus. Congrats Nagshead.

Over 5” now in northern Macon county. I think we make it to 8 at this rate

I hate that even with it actively snowing and already a dusting on the ground I'm scared of the fact it's dry south of Columbia already.

We're at 3" here in Foscoe. Coming down at a good clip currently but took a while to get going overnight.

7.2, second coldest of the winter. Airports were all around 10. I've been surprised in this stretch that IAD hasn't bottomed out like they normally do.

I was taking a look at the Southeastern States board since they are being impacted by the snow today. The ups, the downs, the worry about whether it's going to materialize, other people responding relax, etc. It's like observing a parallel universe. And just like people might say on here to coastal folks like myself when we don't jackpot, I'm thinking "you live in coastal South Carolina! Why would you expect a lot of snow?"

Got down to -9° at my house and there were lot’s of -5 to -10’s on local Wunder sites. Your elevation probably kept you from going lower.

I would not sleep on Wednesday's system, if I had to make a bet, I would say at least 1-3" is likely...looks pretty favorable in terms of heights building, storm track and cold air...

Some people will always be miserable no matter the outcome. If the clown map showed 2 feet, and they wound up with a foot, they would still be miserable.

Coldest start to winter thus far through 1/30 at ORH since 2003-04. We will prob pass that season as colder over the next couple weeks as Feb 2004 warmed up. On the flip side, 2014-15 will be gaining ground in February.
