Congrats everyone else. As usual nothing expected here. forecast for me only shows 11% chance of rain today.

oh for sure, the imagery from TCVG was insane nonetheless with that storm that went through florence

That wind is whippin

Call me a conspiracy theorist, but is it possible that the rapid expansion of open-loop data centers is contributing to current drought conditions? Maybe not in the tri-state area but still food for thought.
-
Good! We needed to dry out. It was becoming like Florida. Not you, but to other posters… we are not in a drought! If you think this is a drought, you don’t even know what a drought is. Being abnormally dry is worlds away from drought conditions. anybody else remember John Paul, arriving at Newark and it raining and he showed the sprinkle sign from above? That was a drought. The early 2000s has another drought. anybody on here trying to make the past year sound like a drought, it’s just being sensationalist and trying to make something bigger than it is.

Weirdly enough much less wind when the storm got here. No lightning to speak of. But damn we got a lot of rain. Looks like about 2-3 inches per radar. Lots of street flooding here in Saratoga .

Consistent thunder for the past hour or 90 minutes with downpours. Nothing severe or overly exciting besides heavy rainfall.

Holy crap, the wind downtown Baltimore is stupid right now. Absolutely howling. One of the vendors in the Thursday food truck dealie at Pratt between light and Charles had their canopy go 20 feet airborn. Like living on a cliff on the sea howling wind.

Nice low-level jet today. If something were to pop, there may be a flying cow or two. -
Interesting all the ltg is way up in VT for the most part. Shallow stuff currently near and SW of Albany. That or better instability in the graupel/hail zone with cooler temps aloft in VT.

Blech. I think we've had enough wind for one lifetime here -
What is going on atmospherically East of Farmville, VA where the precip just dries up? It's really obnoxious.

Some beefy qpf showing up on some guidance. Euro has been depositing a swath of 2-4" for several runs. Might need to have the grilling get togethers Sat this year. Sunday might be a day better spent on the couch watching the US open lol.

Winds howling, skues clearing and temps climbing!
