    Not really seeing any 80 degree dews on any model runs boss. Maybe over by you near the cornfields and points west. GLOV looks to avoid anything extreme. Will def hit low 70s but we had that this week already, nothing noteworthy.

    Instability pretty large tomorrow. Shear certainly doesn't look great so probably looking at some pulse type. Will probably see a ton of lightning in any storms and a localized FF risk where storms occur.

    wide range of precip totals yesterday region wide - some spots received inches others 0. I can see why this can prevent drought conditions from getting much better sooner then later.

    Matching all the summers since 2012 the extent falls significantly behind 2012 during the 1st week of August. Much lower pressures this summer than even the 2013-2025 lower means resulted in the Jaxa extent falling into 12th place behind 2012. Plus we didn’t get the early season preconditioning. But since most of the older MYI has melted over the years, the volume is still very low.

    We have had quite a wet start to August with most spots seeing between 1.8" to around 3 inches of rain over the last 5 days. Some additional shower chances are possible later today and again on Friday night. We should finally dry out by Sunday. Early next week it starts hot with a chance for some of our valley locations to possibly reach 90 degrees both Monday and Tuesday. Could those be the last chances of a 90-degree reading till next spring?

    Euro and EuroAI ensembles both hinting at some development towards the end of next week with the next wave moving off Africa. Conditions will be very hostile in the Caribbean, as one would expect in a Nino year. Should a brief TS develop, it won't last past the Lesser Antilles. Not much going for the Atlantic.
