CAPE Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:03 AM Figures I would get a storm on a low pops day after the failure of a high probability of "heavy rain" yesterday. Lots of thunder on the back edge of this. 0.58" and still raining. Much needed.

Jebman Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Congrats guys. This is but a point to what remains. In other words, welcome to a record Nino. You'll get storm cycle after storm cycle after storm cycle. By the time this puppy (the record Nino) really gets going with the North American 500 millibar pressure surface, your grounds will already be hypersaturated and you get to see floods galore! Texas is way too far west for this one. This record Nino is so far east-based that Austin will actually miss out on 70 percent of the hydrometeor output thru at least September 2027. But there should be other Ninos in the next 10-20 years (If I manage to live that long ha ha ha).

BlizzardNole Posted yesterday at 11:27 AM Share Posted yesterday at 11:27 AM Got about 0.45 with a thunderstorm last evening. We had lots of close lightning strikes and lost power for three and a half hours. The RainDrop app was accurate this time. We've lost power more times in five months at this new house than in 25 years at the Germantown house. I'm shopping for generators LOL

Huge range on the mesos from a total whiff to that type of event. Euro was bullish and now seems to be bailing.
