CAPE
Six days until the Summer Solstice. Shorter days/lower sun after that as we move towards Fall/winter. Love the thought of that, plus NFL training camp is about a month away. 1 1

And no worries about the shorter days in the offing- we will still likely be warm and humid well into October. I'm sure you will get sick of it too.

I’m pretty sure that thing maimed a few kids. Well, at least I only got wet this time and and not a concussion. But it was refreshing. Needed a cool off from planting.

We manicure and spray way too much to worship the lawn gods. 4
wxdude64
48.2 for the low here, wonderful! Currently 63.3/54.0 at 10:30 am under partly cloudy skies. EDIT- close, but not near the record of 45 from 1985.

It's a damn shame the Big Boy steam engine isn't coming back west through Harpers Ferry. That would've been an EPIC shot coming out of the tunnel and going over the Potomac. 2

Is that the MD heights trail? If so, did you park on the Va side and have to schlep over to the trailhead? I used to be able to park on the Md side in little nooks when I had my Jeep, but last time I went they had that general area closed off for parking. I've never been there during the warm seasons. I do my hiking during winter. Colder the better. I've done all the popular hikes, but without seeing a soul. I hiked to Annopoils Rocks and back from route 40 in 2014. It was -5 at the trailhead and probably -8 or -9 at the rocks. I didn't see one single soul. I've been to Cunningham Falls twice and never saw anyone. The Falls were frozen. It was really cool. I love extreme winter conditions for my hikes. I like to hike on top of the Catoctins during the windiest days of winter. I've got all kinds of stories lol Ridiculously beautiful day today.
