I’m definitely disappointed we missed out on big dog numbers. It looks like 10-14” totals in the southern burbs a few miles south of the airport, but this has still been a quality storm. Snowing all day and top tier time outside with the kids.

Far NW side of Chicago and the drop in temperatures was nuts. Wind direction went from the south to a strong NW.

It has snowed all afternoon as modeled with visibility between 1-2mi. I have noticed shoveled/plows surfaces have stayed wet instead of accumulating new snow and there has been compaction elsewhere. Spring.

Yep we had a solid 2 hours of dendrites coming down nicely and they barely added to the total and the car outside was just wet. Gonna call it 11.5” here storm total but hard to be exact with the drifting

Looks to me like it’s going to develop one helluva back end defo band in the cold conveyor

my lack of meteorological education is possible but I dont see how anticipated snowfall totals will hold up in the UP MI etc or places like Green Bay unless things change. I don't recall the models showing this but again it could be my lack of knowledge

I dont recall such a lack of precip now shown on models regardless of who got how much now. I think you cant point out one observation place and defend anything. Again just trying to learn as I look at the radar and wonder why this fell apart with lack of precip in WI/MI in certain areas.
