We had a nice snow band near I-66 in Fairfax County.

Moderate snow

It was snowing earlier with fine flakes. Now the flakes are bigger and the grass areas are covered. Maybe about .5" and supposed to to stop around 7 p.m. I was glad to see the annapolis MD area cashing in. The problem people just don't know how to drive as I saw enough accidents on the way.

It ended kinda how it started back in December. It felt like a similar experience to me. Great season for the lowlands. Climo plus

Think mby is done for today, 2.1” final. Brings me to 17.4”, close to my median climo (which is lower than mean climo). Beating last year’s 16.9” by a hair.

Can you imagine how much you would have gotten 30 years ago. Probably 50".

Still some flurries in DC. Want to say like .75” but will wait for some reports. Seems about the same at the Arlington abode.

DCA needs .4” to get to 10”. They *should* get it.

Eh, idk. This winter has been pretty dry. Maybe tack on a few extra inches

Ended up with 2.25" here.  Tied with 2/22 for my second biggest event this year.  Brings the total to 16" for the year.

WB 3K NAM; temps go above freezing at 8am. General comment: the .5 inch of snow is still on the ground; the earlier snow really cooled the ground setting up the freezing rain event to cause significant icing overnight.

Even at only 0.5", this was the biggest accumulating March event I've had since 3/21/2018 (really shows you how pathetic March has been lately). It's also the first time since 2018-19 that I've been on the board every month in DJFM.

Definitely some iciness on my car already, requiring a scraper in some spots (cleaned it a little while ago).

Had a chance to get to the shaded spots of the deck. Over 2 inches of snow still this evening. Pretty good snow today here in Purcellville. Currently 29 degrees.

That band is drying up and the nice mass around Charleston going to be too warm by when gets here, Precip has never entirely cut off here and at times that a good sign .  How are the 850’s ?

Gradient is tightening and we are slowly losing the battle but around the immediate DC area we're still at -2 degrees.

Guess we’ll see ptype on that stuff coming out of the south soon. Expecting a tiny bit of snow to start still IMO but probably glaze up sooner rather than later
