Prismshine Productions
What an unmitigated, lights-out, absolute coup for the GFS / AI-GFS. I can't remember another case where the stakes were this big, the camps were initially so stubbornly dissimilar, the GFS was on its own... and the GFS schooled everyone. Assuming the big hit verifies, but I have zero doubt it will. 19z NBM (48h ending 7pm Monday):That CTRV snow shadow goddamn...Sent from my SM-S166V using Tapatalk

Fozz
If the Cape manages to remain snow, it’s going to be a brutal blizzard there. I imagine those spots there are currently in a watch are going straight to Blizzard warnings.

Prismshine Productions
Like I said earlier, if you are pre planning for east ticks, prob want to be east of ORH for best stuff Problem is where I am in the valley I am either too far north, too far south, or (in the last few cases) get skunked by virga and dry air and lose moisture to moisten the column Sent from my SM-S166V using Tapatalk

I know this is a miss or 1-3 inch max for up here, but just hoping the GFS is more right about later next week and not that ugly Euro I saw. School vacation week has literally wore the snow off the trails, we need 6 inches bad, but probably realistically a foot to start battling the March sun

If they get 18”+ with hurricane force wind gusts…not too many can match that. Jan ‘05 of course…Feb 1952…Jan 2015…then maybe Feb ‘87. Not sure ‘87 and ‘15 had the winds quite as strong but the snow was epic and it’s not like it was a gentle breeze either.

They must be furiously typing out the next AFD now, I hope? Unfortunately there's been a general downward trend in the quality of AFD's. I think it's a combination of a lot of younger talent at BOX and organizational changes from above. In the past when a warning level storm was brewing, AFD's would come out more often as data rolled in. Now they only follow the schedule of 3 or 4 per day and sometimes the changes are very minor. It's sad, IMO, they used to be great reads in most cases, and very educational.
