I'm sure either the February or March event would be on there if it extended that far. These modern storms have much more moisture to work with the 7° warmer Gulf Stream than in the 1950s . We were discussing several years back what it would take to get a single 50” snowstorm across the region. My guess would be a stall and a loop back to the west near the benchmark before exiting to the east. A track like this happened during the blizzard of 1888. So it’s seems possible to me that this could be the biggest snowstorm at ISP even if records went back farther.

DreamBig
Is it just me or is there massive compaction from weight, wind and sun going on? This morning I swear my car had deeper snow on it than it does now - and it's still snowing. Also there are large areas of the street/sidewalk with like an inch due to drifting, and not nearly enough in other areas to account for 20+ inches 1

SnoSki14
I really think if the storm was more tucked like some of SREFS and Nam runs showed that much of the region would've seen 30+ Not to mention much stronger winds
deathstar9
Also incredible winds in PVD, much stronger than Nemo.

cleetussnow
Standing at 22.25 OTG. I'm sure we got 2 feet with a proper measure. My OTG spot is pretty uniform, safe from winds and other disturbance affecting the total measurement
MANDA
9 minutes ago, ForestHillWx said: @MANDA measurements varied from 8.5-10.5”; drifts in the back yard had 18-24”. I think 10” will do. Heavy though, snowblower fought it at times. Final total here was 12.5". Picked up 1.5" after my 11" 7am measurement. Would have been more than that if it were a month earlier. Sun angle and temperatures near 30 were fighting against what was falling. The 1.5" was melting from underneath and compressing from the top. 12.5" is a wrap.
