Radio is calling the event 'snow flurries". A better description is snow showers.

Decent light snow has been falling for about the past hour or so.  Small flake size.

Not sure I have ever seen gusts to 60 mph in a forecast during winter over here. Crazy. No leaves on the trees but still likely to be some branches down with possible power outages.

Also what a goddamn shame we were unable to add a few inches of fluffy snow on top of the glacier given how cold it has been for the last 10+ days since.

You know…I was up in central PA during 2 previous winters with somewhat similar pattern and arctic cold and I was super dry for a month while down here was getting all the snow. The snow rides the boundary in thaw regimes and we ended up too far into the cold to get those cold boundary waves but not far enough north to get the pure arctic boundary waves. We have been in a dead zone.

Truly shocking how little precip there's been... we either get cold or precip, but never both.

Didn't even check radar after the first bath.  Let's hope it holds together, but I think you'll get inot that one, not me.

Hasn’t stopped snowing for about 90m in DC. Not sure we’ve added anything since the one moderate push but it’s stellar snow TV.
