Exactly. My south facing roof has well over a foot on it….And that’s after 5 days of constant sun.

It was a possibility back in late December when I was looking at it more. TBH I haven't really checked on that since I mentioned it. Got sidetracked following the snow threats lol. There was a bunch of warm water (30C+) collecting east of 150E. It looks like most of that was downwelled to the subsurface instead. I think Ray has a great handle on this season and has done a tremendous job with his efforts this year. He's really nailed quite a lot of aspects about this season. I think we did see a very clean phase 8 pass recently. But it was also quite short lived like was mentioned. However we couldn't even get that to happen in recent years. So perhaps we're turning a corner, slowly.

Keep in mind that on days like today Billerica is a HOT SPOT because of down slope winds....plus the reflection off of solar panels can contribute to the pack taking a beating...and don't forget about the lasers from UFO's melting the snowpack...

He’s blocked…the problem is when somebody quotes him, and then you see the utter stupidity, it’s infuriating. But I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Very little melting here even the south facing roof has little melt, I did snow rake the bottom 2 feet.

the snow/ice in my parking lot at the office has been melting, but i am pretty sure that has more to do with the 25,000 pounds of salt that they put down

Absolutely there is melting on southern exposed pavement. Even the part of my lawn that I plow is now more exposed. It's not crazy melting, but it's more than if we had these temps around Christmas.

I dont disbelieve you…but we have None here.  That blacktop picture I posted…that’s in the sun all day…nothing wet or melted on it, faces the south too.

Depth has receded from 29" to 22" in 4 days, but no melting (warmest since last Friday is 18) and probably little sublimation.  19.6" of 25:1 SN is apt to settle a bit.  If the wind quits soon after dark, we'll have another dive thru the minus teens.

Yeah the entire region is buried. I was wrong about the next storm, I thought it was coming back but looks like that one’s going out to sea. Normally I get annoyed with wasted potential, but we already have a metric fuck ton of snow on the ground. This is an old school New England winter, none of that chasing ghosts in a sea of warmth bullshit. Still have all of Feb and Mar left for more winter weather too. I like Torch Tiger, he’s a decent guy but I do think he has been doing some day drinking recently.

Ugh...that would drive me crazy, especially with cold temps.

But we only have 2" of snow cover imby, trying to hold on to every last flake...so who's to be upset about 22".

I know the weather is boring because there is a 2 page brush fire up in here because of a post I can’t even see.
