I spent a whole sermon on this a couple hours ago and of course no one read it ( I don't learn apparently ) but yeah, there's a signal there.

However, just like the shenanigans in the models leading up to this ordeal on Sunday, this next one may suffer the same frustrations.

so,... it may have legs, but their not the Conan The Barbarian type of legs...  They're like the kid with polio waddling around with the help of his arm crutches

We won’t know that until the model cinema starts to play out.

I don't think the sun isn't doing anything to the snowpack in this atmosphere. Evidence of that is looking at the roofs of peoples houses.

Exactly. My south facing roof has well over a foot on it….And that’s after 5 days of constant sun.

I may be missquoting EasternLI, however I THOUGHT he mentioned that the warm pool was slowly moving east and can eventually be in a favorable location.

It was a possibility back in late December when I was looking at it more. TBH I haven't really checked on that since I mentioned it. Got sidetracked following the snow threats lol. There was a bunch of warm water (30C+) collecting east of 150E. It looks like most of that was downwelled to the subsurface instead. I think Ray has a great handle on this season and has done a tremendous job with his efforts this year. He's really nailed quite a lot of aspects about this season. I think we did see a very clean phase 8 pass recently. But it was also quite short lived like was mentioned. However we couldn't even get that to happen in recent years. So perhaps we're turning a corner, slowly.

despite the chilly temps, sun angle really doing a number on the pack. Wow

Go look at my picture(picture doesn’t lie) I posted of the blacktop at my school, in direct sunlight all day, two pages back….And you’ll know you’re 100% wrong.

For sure!  Absolutely agree.  Same here and everywhere. We explained this yesterday.

No it’s not, lol.. I work at a golf course. We have north, south, east and west facing greens and fairways that are out in the open sun. Still 16” deep. Only thing that has happened is some wind pack/scour and slight sublimation.

he beer.

I don't know why any of you guys even read his posts. 100% trolling. either that or he is criminally stupid. or both.

maybe it's all 3: criminally stupid, beer drinking, troll.

This is our blacktop area here at school, where the kids have recess…it’s looked like this all week, and in direct sunlight most of the day.  Not melting..except where the plows tires(with salt) wore out the snow.  So that was my point when I said there has been very little melting.  Now of course some sublimation might have happened, but it’s negligible.

Keep in mind that on days like today Billerica is a HOT SPOT because of down slope winds....plus the reflection off of solar panels can contribute to the pack taking a beating...and don't forget about the lasers from UFO's melting the snowpack...

He’s blocked…the problem is when somebody quotes him, and then you see the utter stupidity, it’s infuriating. But I agree with you wholeheartedly.

Absolutely there is melting on southern exposed pavement. Even the part of my lawn that I plow is now more exposed. It's not crazy melting, but it's more than if we had these temps around Christmas.

I dont disbelieve you…but we have None here.  That blacktop picture I posted…that’s in the sun all day…nothing wet or melted on it, faces the south too.
