Is this like a hurricane, where its just getting scooped up OTS by a trough or a kicker? If thats the case, I don't think we stand a chance of this coming back.   If it was the case where we just needed a high to be less strong up north, we'd have a chance of a north trend. Tough break, its so close, but so far. But this is exactly what happens during Hurricane season with fish storms.

Time to start asking the important questions for this storm, like “how much is an AirBnB in Norfolk” and “how many days would I be stuck in Norfolk.”

Honestly that's the only thing keeping me from going. It's not the Tug Hill where they clear the roads as fast as it snows. I don't want to be stuck in VA Beach.

Try to look at the glass as half full; we have below freezing temps for over a week with snow and ice on the ground.  Kids got out of school for several days and the government let people work from home for three days. Hopefully we can still cash in on a pure snow event, but this winter gets a B so far from me.

I grew up in Norfolk and moved up here in 2013. I experienced Boxing Day and it was a blast. Sorry, not sorry. But damn, this shit makes me sick if they get a storm that is being advertised. Even 2016 here, I only got 17-18" because I lived in Pentagon City. Still have never seen 20" and Norfolk is on the cusp. WTF.

Still plenty of time for that part of the action to trend further west, don't worry.

Yep, I bet Atlantic City, Coastal NJ, NYC, LI, etc actually do really well with this in the end while we watch. Seen this story before. Precip will head in from off the coast and will hit a wall somewhere just east of Philly.

One day I'll chase one of these VA Beach blizzards. They happen every winter. I'd love to see a blizzard like NC gets all the time.

I’m in Norfolk right now for work but planning to head back to NoVA on Saturday morning.  Tempted to stay but not sure if I could ever get out if that map happened.
