The lack of any precip is getting to be kinda disturbing. I imagine there’s gonna be water restrictions this summer if the overall pattern of a lackluster southern stream continues.

Precipitation hates us

We can shower together to save water.

This isnt a horrific look on the long range GFS. But of course it is the GFS.

Given the atlantic and look up top I doubt we get out of the rest of winter without ANY snowfall for us NW peeps.  Of course we need some freaking precip for that to work

I know we can all laugh at an ops model at range...but a pretty good event has shown up in the ops (not just the GFS) several times now in that time frame.  Not guaranteed obviously, but I don't think it's just fantasy either.

See Ji's post in the CAPE thread. It's a decent read

End of the 0z Euro is warming up really good in the Midwest. Run it forward a few days and we might be talking about 70s.

117hr Euro is 57F in DCA

186hr Euro is 67F in DCA

288hr Euro is 64F in DCA

354hr Euro is 63F in DCA

4 separate fronts.. -PNA pattern

Model run is probably too extreme, but it does highlight a warmer pattern coming up.
