Bordering heavy snow up here now. It’s coming down great in this band up here. Easily north of 5” and will make a run for 6”

I’d probably call it close to 5” as the sleet draws ever closer. Seeing a lot of 5” reports and remembering some genius (hah) started saying 3 days ago the only forecast for this snow was 5” of snow then sleet…

I was outside from 5 - 6 plowing 4 inches of snow mixed with sleet to get ahead of the sleet bomb.

So far it seems like the lack of high ratio fluff is the only thing “off”. Dang warm nose.

4 inches in Fallston as of 7:15 am. Kinda ripping snow at the moment. If this can hold til 10 am here that would be swell.

IAD reported 5.1 inches at 7am.  They will make it to 6+

If we had 12:1 ratios I would be at 7.5" instead of 5.8"

Yeah been saying this all morning. The growth is awful. But it's still snow for now!

Snowing pretty hard in Leesburg but started mixing with sleet in past 20 mins. I think within a certain radius of the dome, the sleet is hidden a bit. Don’t see it on LWX, but I see we’re in it if I switch to DOX.

It's always off with QPF. That's one of its main weaknesses.

If I can stay snow or at least rimed snow/sleet mix, I’ll make it to 6” around 8 am

About 6" in Davis, WV with moderate snow falling and the occasional ping mixed in. Predominantly snow still but poor ratio snow at this point. 9 degrees

Just back in from a 2 mile Jebwalk. Absolutely beautiful out there in the champagne powder. It was rippin hard a few different times. Hovered around 16 degrees. 5 inches of fluffy fluff.

@MillvilleWx some aren’t getting great ratios, but I’d estimate in excess of 15:1 up our way so far. It accumulated extremely efficiently when it wasn’t heavy, now in SN+ it’s basically a fog.
