What are your thoughts on sticking car windshield wipers up? Seems counterintuitive to me.. if they freeze, won’t they just freeze sticking up?

If you leave them down and they freeze to the windshield, if you try to use them, the rubber rips off and sticks to your windshield. Also makes it easier to scrape if they are lifted up
