It seems like most members on here aren’t too concerned about suppression where as all the weather discussions I’ve read many at concerned. What’s everyone’s reasoning?

Of course its a concern but right now the gfs is most suppressed and still a decent hit (not counting 12z of course)

We've also seen this play before. Most all of our biggest storms were "south" at this point in the model runs. Not a guarantee it will come north, but it's kind of like having, say, Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes down 5 entering the 4th quarter.

Models tend to overdue the strength of HP. If it's weaker it'll come north like it's been trending. Get this to 0z Thursday an we'll be in business

Not a bad thing that we're north right now. If the Euro is correct with the phasing idea then we would be closer to the jackpot totals vs mid Atlantic

Alot of times these storms come in earlier than modeled so dont be shocked if we see snow Saturday night.

Not if you plowed snow.  Sold my plow after that season.  14hrs/2hr break/24 hrs/ 3hr break. Plowed for whole week on that one.   Picked up lots of new business because other plowers could not get to their customerd Windy as F plowed my way thru 5&6ft ft drifts getting truck stuck multiple times.  Keep wondering when it was going to stop

Same here snow was packed down from the wind got stuck more times than than ever.

it's times like these that i don't mind going to work cause you know 12z runs is for tracking and than going home is 18z definitely making sure my phone is charged so i can track than i stay up late for the 0z runs and as soon as i wake up i check the 6z runs its a great hobby and its free

I’d like some old time 0z model play by play. I miss those old forum days. You can feel the tension and excitement with each posted panel. It’s north, it’s south, omg, bombs away, etc etc.

I've seen great soundings for ratios, temps well down in the 20s, and gotten 12" of snow on 1.5" liquid in high winds.  Mind you, the forecast soundings didn't verify perfectly, but the promise of high ratios was hollow.  I think it happens more here because this is a windier place in a nor'easter; at least it is windier just off the deck with winds off the sound.

I’m not a 20 year old kid anymore. I’m a 40 year old man with 3 kids and a full time job. Don’t have the time I once had. I’ll do my best to chip in on this one though since it’s got blockbuster written all over it.
