Bailed at the last minute realizing if its a weekend getaway, thats a 9hr ride on a Friday night. Add in trying to get thru snow and into the cabin after being on the road 9 hours. Then having to leave on a Sunday morning to come home. Just doesn't sound fun to this old man. Now if I actually lived there year-round? First trip it started snowing at Albany and Smug and Stowe got 14" that day as we drove in. I had to hit the parking lot three times before I got the van up into the timeshare space lol. Second trip was the one where it was like -15 degrees with 20-30 mph winds at Jay one day. Snowed there all 4 days with the Jay cloud. It's a storm chase. Having chased a lot in Oswego County while at Syracuse I strongly recommend you stay off I-81 through Oswego County and take Rt. 11 instead. I-81 can get blocked by stuck trucks in heavy snow conditions and the exits are FAR apart so you won’t be able to turn around.
