These mesos just keep beefing up totals. 19z HRRR is a widespread 5-7” with isolated 8” spots throughout SE PA, from Philly through the burbs up to the Lehigh Valley. My 2-4” call for the Allentown area might be too low, when at this time yesterday I was wondering if it would be too high!

Looks like the Blue Mountain is going to be the cutoff between a good plowable snow southeast, and more of a nuisance variety one on the northern side.

This should be called the little clipper that could. Wild how we’ve gone from 1-3” with lolli’s on 4-5 to now 3-5 with lollis of 8”. With how fast moving this is, I don’t think the heavy snow wording in the forecast is far off. We should rip between 2 and 6 am. Who else is staying up?

I’m always skeptical when there is a modeled snow gap in South Central PA with these clippers, but maybe this is one time it works out for the Delaware Valley

still holding on 3 to 5 inches  at my house where the snow does not band as the LP digs in. S Mtn range looks like the jackpot in the latest runs. If banding occurs  between 2 -5 am - 2 inch hour rates are possible.  Someone is going to get smacked in our area.

Cloudy first flakes a few flurries at the moment 36f dewpoint 25f so I guess zero rain here let the games begin!  Looks like though dry air punching in from the southwest so these flakes are just temporary as everything is pulling off to the northeast. 

 

Drove up from Delaware along Route 202 to Pyle Road to Foulk Road saw the first flakes along that route as well and continued till I go home in Media.
