This will be the 20th winter I’ve lived in the eastern panhandle of WV. In that time, I’ve had one accumulating snow during the first week of December:  12/6/2009 with 2.9”.

the 6z Euro is SO close for the metros. it would only take like 20 miles for them to stay. all snow. still 80 hours out...

the euro has kinda trended like 10 miles south each run since yesterday. maybe i'm hallucinating but we maybe have a shot?

Yeah that's not happening, esp from the Fall line east. If I am up early enough maybe I will see a few mangled flakes before it turns to rain.

@Interstatementioned 12/8/13.  That was the second-earliest December snow in my years here, at 8”.  
That winter turned out ok too.

Most epic early season forecast boom in my life. Forecast was 2"-4" of snow in western Carroll County and I got 8". We also got two NFL snow games that day.

Seeing the snow showers yesterday got my winter juices flowing... up until then I really wasn't engaged. Im not predicting any sort of accumulations on Tuesday but I'm sorta pumped to potentially see some flakes falling

WB 12K NAM is a miserable, cold  rain for most. At least it brings drought denting rains and an energized storm through the area.
