Seeing as we got to 32F last night, does tonight end the growing season? I'd think if we get to 28F or so that'll lead to a much harder and widespread frost/freeze. GWDLT That sucks. Way too early. weatherwiz
Crazy how much cooler it feels once the sun goes behind the trees. That’s what separates this from true summer. Even when the sun goes behind trees or isn’t beating on you, it’s still hot.
CoastalWx
only 7 more months of Autumn until summer again. 2

AstronomyEnjoyer
Millionth stunner of a day in a row today. Did the some vehicle "hiking" up Mt. Kearsarge. Passed a (European, I think???) cyclist beginning the climb up the auto-road at the park-entrance gate. By the time I was "hiking" down the little half-mile trail that takes you to the actual summit, the man had already finished the climb and was actually going up the trail wearing clipless cycling shoes. When I made it back to the parking lot near the top, I noticed he had left his gravel bike leaning against the trail information stand unlocked and unattended. Not sure I would be ballsy enough to do that with a bike worth several grand.

But even a N wind here is off the water and keeps it a tad warmer. Grass finally looking good again so hopefully plenty of mild frostless days to come. Need time to appreciate it before it dies. alex
I’m up in Acadia. Surprised how much warmer it is here than back home, and the foliage has barely started changing while at home it’s gotten quite bright 2

HIPPYVALLEY
I have never seen the river so low around here. This is the Green River down the street from my house. Even in a dry spell, where I’m standing to take this picture should be knee-deep.
