Newark has reached 100° for the second consecutive day. That ties June 2025 with June 1943, 1994, and 2021 for the most such days in June. The two consecutive days are the earliest-season occurrence of two or more 100° or above days. The old record was set during July 3-4, 1898.

I'll take pictures of it at whatever it peaks at, now it's at 103.8 very close to 40C !!!!

This is my second hottest day on record here (this sensor has been in the exact same location since 2005.)  This beats the hottest day here in 2010 and the only one that was hotter here was July 22, 2011 when it reached 105.6 on this sensor !!!!

Dewpoints are dropping now as expected. Dewpoint is 69 here now. Should get down to about 65 here later in the afternoon. Doesn't feel as bad as yesterday, but of course still tremendously hot. Temp here is 99 right now. We're definitely going over 100 here today.
