CAPE
Picked up 0.15" from the showers that spun in from the southeast. I don't think there was anything in the forecast for here today.

It looked like it wanted to rain here around 4:30 but it vanished as usual.

Want to know how swim practice will go tonight. Mean wind is towards Fairfax Co, so there's a shot. There's a small theta_E min on mesoanalysis right over that area, so perhaps it weakens on approach...if it makes it. Certainly seems feasible, but will be really close. That area was basically the edge of the greater instability progs. Hopefully it falls apart soon so the decision is easier. Edit: Looks like the storm is taking a jog away from the county. Might be safe so long as nothing else develops upwind of the cell.

Since the summer of 2023 I've had three months where I measured 7 or more inches of rain in a month (September 2023, August 2024 and May 2025)…. You of all posters beat my monthly rainfall totals for every one of those 3 months!

DP 66 Foggy this morning on the Bush River as well. There was a little storm in the vicinity 3-4 pm, to the southeast. Nada here. 7.5-8" rain in May per nearby PWSs.

Harv_poor
Around 3:45 some lightning and thunder in Pikesville followed by 15 to 20 minutes of decently heavy rain. Enough to chase everybody off the golf course for 20 to 30 minutes. Then sun came out and beautiful evening.
