I guess the next question is how much of it holds after sunset. Just started raining here again while I’m waiting for takeout.

I’m mostly watching for the fertilizer we put down, and my drive home after the concert haha

.75 with this batch that's a great start let's see what the overnight can do.

I’m just to the east of Dulles airport watching the storm pass literally under 3 miles to the west. Glad the rain will at least get into the ground water from over there.

Round 2 total weak sauce here.  Drizzle and light rain for the past 1.5 hours.  Lighting and heavier rain seemed to slide just east.   But it's at least something.  Somewhere between. 75 and 1" for the day.  Grateful to wash away some pollen.  The last 2 weeks have been miserable.

Getting some lovely rumblers over here. Have opened a window to listen and can hear the rain very calming.

It looks noticeably more green up here than the majority of the last few years.  Today's rainfall will only help.

Yes it does. And it has been quite awhile since we have gotten a nice garden variety thunderstorm and soaking rain. I don’t always want severe storms it has been thundering for close to an hour now with occasional flashes of lightning. Sounds like my Thunderstorm station on Pandora that I fall asleep to. :)

Western Montgomery County up through Frederick County, MD seems to be the sweet spot for today's rainfall.

You aren't kidding!  There are gonna be some impressive totals from that area - they've been getting trained for hours.  I'm just now getting close to the edge of that train hoping to get under it

we've got just under an inch so far. round 2 came in with a HUGE bolt of lighting, followed by the power going off...and then back on. then everything calmed down.

hoping for more rain tomorrow.
