Tonight
Showers, mainly before 2am. Patchy fog before 10pm, then patchy fog after 11pm. Low around 45. Northeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

To be fair, convective events are tough.  Even when occurring, basin averages can be much less than the spot/point samples of a singular location.  Depends on how big a basin though, ha.

HRRR from 18z seemed to sense something was going to happen.  Actual results vary, but it knew some localized water was coming.

Fortunate I stayed dry yesterday afternoon; the rain falling to the North and West. Let’s see what today brings. BOX has Windham County included in the Flood Watch.

Looks like most areas .75-2” or so. Maybe some spots more but not a big deal.

Looks meh. Mostly overnight lows. No heat. No install.

Ya I don't see anything more humid or warmer than this past week, looks like 65-75 everyday the next 2 weeks..

In terms of the rain, looks like a quick hit of heavy rain honestly, Hi res starting to ramp back up for here 1-2" .. Don't see the widespread 2-3" though once forecast..

Looks like heaviest stays west of 84? Looks like that narrow band of heavier rain of the NJ coast gets eastern areas

Might be. Maybe the classic 2 part jack with these type of deals.  one near the center with the convective stuff and then other with the better Synoptics N and W.

Operational models are rather divorced from the teleconnector spread though.   I would trust them even less than the typical uncertainty, beyond D5 or so... maybe even D4 is where the separation begins.   Particularly in the Euro, but none of them are very good complimentary in form.
