Pollen cleaner

Looks like 0.75 - 1.00 inch next 3 days.  Then later next week/weekend more rain.   Dry streak washed away the next 10 days.  Lets see if it goes from regular to deluge.

Yup, that’ll be good at least. My car’s caked in it.

this is so changeable that it changes from moment to moment.

The temperatures are fine, but it looks like Tuesday and Wednesday are better than the other days.

Why the hell is NY turning into a rain forest?

I really think you belong in San Diego. 70 and sunny all the time, with the wind off the pacific low allergens too.

being that I love plants and am a horticulturalist, I’ll take the rain.

Would be so boring there....most exciting part of the day is guessing when the fog burns off...

as a former, and probably future SD resident, yes weather wise it's a bit boring, but you're close to some really cool things, snow in the mountains during winter and the crazy thunderstorms out in the desert during summer. your home just happens to be in paradise

As a fellow plant lover I’d appreciate SD’s 10b/11a plant hardiness zone over our 7b, but you’re right about the rain, I’d actually take our warmer half of the year over theirs, coastal SoCal isn’t hot/humid enough for me.

Yeah, still no extended 80° warm ups showing up just yet. We have been consistently getting a day or two of 80° plus from Newark east to here in Southern New England followed by backdoors. Looks like the Euro and GFS shift us back to a wetter pattern.

My best year for growing things was 1993, which was one of our hottest summers on record. I grew sunflowers 8 feet tall, I grew green beans, I had a rose garden, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, cucumbers, cantaloupe, green peppers, carrots, potatoes, egg plant,  I even had a row of corn (my first time and last time growing corn).

I like watering, I don't need a lot of rain.

There is something very zen about just watering and admiring nature lol.  Hot weather plus cow manure made everything grow very tall and lush.  I love my 100 degree days and rain maybe once every 10 days.

We don't need more than 40 inches of rain per year, anything more than that is excess.

I know Sun forecast isnt great but is Sunday looking like a steady moderate rain or more of light showers from time to time kind of day? The 5 boro bike tour is that day and I trying an idea how bad it will be. I see varying forecasts from around a tenth of an inch to nearly an inch of rain.

Tomorrow will be partly to mostly cloudy and a bit cooler than today. Showers and periods of rain are likely Sunday into Monday. Sunday will be unseasonably cool with the high temperature reaching only the upper 50s in much of the New York City area and low 60s in southern New Jersey and Philadelphia. Monday and Tuesday will become noticeably warmer. Overall, the first week of May should wind up warmer than normal.

The ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly was 0.0°C and the Region 3.4 anomaly was +0.8°C for the week centered around April 24. For the past six weeks, the ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly has averaged -0.23°C and the ENSO Region 3.4 anomaly has averaged +0.98°C. The ongoing basinwide El Niño event is fading. Neutral conditions could develop later in the spring.

The SOI was +3.24 today.

The preliminary Arctic Oscillation (AO) was -2.674 today.

this team cannot score

they played a team who also can't score so eventually something had to give.

Almost seems that Soto performing and Judge not performing is netting out and we are left with the same issues/offensive struggles as last year. Anyway nice to eek out a win!

Newark is on track for its first 90° during May 1-7 without at least 3 consecutive 80° days since 2000. So very unusual to get a 90° day not surrounded by 80° days this time of year. It shows how much resistance these warm ups have been getting from back doors and rain.
