Temp 42

1.19” of rainfall so far

not much wind to speak of. Highest  gust here was 15mph

Not much in the wind category here either, though northern Sullivan definitely gusted 40+. Pressure down to 985, the wind threat for you and I probably turns to the front but probably more like gusts 30-40 from here

snowpack didn’t get detonated so that’s a plus

So far as of about 425A: NYS coming up in power outage. I've seen 44KT LGA, 47 KT PVD and 51KT ATL where the most power outages are in the USA (GA). Attached maps of mesonets as of 425A. I see a 56 MPH ne NJ and 61 MPH in w LI

Thanks Walt-- where on LI was the 61 mph?  We had big thunderstorms with lightning and heavy rain around 4:30 am with very high winds.

50 kt near HFD recently.  Power outages continue to increase in this storm,

(once in a generation)?  how about Jan 20, 1978-yikes in my generation for that storm being worse than this for much the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes region.. Need low pressure to come up from GMEX for these super storms (Moisture).

Back around 1030A.

Wind has been meh here….

Rain was a little over an inch….still don’t get all the hype for this

It's not done yet and just because you didn't experience anything major doesn't mean it's not significant.

A lot of places are seeing major coastal flooding right now. A lot of places have already had 50+ gusts.

The temperature drop will be very significant. From mid to upper 50s to single digits with wind-chills in the -10 to -15 range.

Most of that stuff we experience in a run of the mill nor’easter
