ams30721us
Man...it is literally pouring snow currently in Davenport. Very low visibility, main roads starting to become snow covered, and at least 1/2 to 1 on the grass, and decks/patios now. Nice early treat for sure!
hawkeye_wx
I finished with 2.5" on my snowboard. The metal car has 2.8", but I'm recording 2.5".

Pretty impressive! All snow here now, and dumping pretty nicely. Temp has dropped to freezing. Grass has quickly dusted up with white in the past ten mins. SEiowaWX
I ended up with 3.3" on my snow board near Ottumwa. Very wet snow sticking to everything. I'm not sure officially but this has to be one of the earliest 3" snows for quite sometime in my neck of the woods. Nice little event! On to the next one...
Thundersnow12
6z NAM and Nest are very snowy for most of northern Illinois, including a good chunk of Chicago metro. Wow.
A-L-E-K
Ez toss anything showing snow to the lakefront like that this early in the year with flow off the lake, wraparound defo mood flakes or nothing here.
Baum
A decent measurable snow in May, and now the potential for a decent measurable snow on or just before Halloween. Not sure I've experienced such a short period between the season's last snowfall and the seasons first in my lifetime. And I'm not talking a windblown flurry, but rather tree bending, ground covering 3" or greater snowfalls.

Chicago WX
Just a touch too far southeast here to see any snow with the next wave. But Halloween mood flakes look like a solid bet. Grats to all who have seen and will see measurable.

madwx
Fun fact. The sun angle the next three days is equivalent to Feb 10-12. In case anyone tries to argue it will have an impact 1
Geoboy645
I got about 2" from this storm. It's actually kind of pretty right now with the snow sticking to the trees and branches. I'd imagine we are not going to have very many leaves on the trees after this week.
Luftfeuchtigkeit
3.1" on the patio furniture this morning. Grassy surfaces and trees accumulated, but not pavement. Very pretty.
AppsRunner
Around 1-1.5" in Ames. The 1.2" which fell yesterday night at DMX is a daily snowfall record, breaking the previous record of 0.2" in 1913. Thankfully we didn't have any accumulations on roads, it sounds like traffic got pretty rough in the eastern half of the state.

Thundersnow12
Pretty weird seeing good model agreement on 4-6" for MBY (tossing the very hot Euro) before/on Halloween. What a head start heading into the snow season if that verifies.
