.64 here already..could have been epic

Yep, just no cold with this system. 35 and plain cold rain here. I guess I'll probably see a few hours of mix tonight/early morning, but I don't expect much at all until you get farther north. We've been getting these high QPF systems every couple of weeks, hopefully we can get one to match up with more cold later in the season. Looks good for areas above 2000 feet though.

40 and a bit more steady rain near Park Road Shopping Center. Not much at all in the way of frozen here. Wasting some good QPF for sure, but the main event was never supposed to start until tonight, I guess.

You should be getting closer. Here we started to see mixing just past the 35 degree mark, and went mostly snow as we passed 33.

Can confirm a very wet snow falling in Travelers Rest, SC per a friend.

.

I'm stuck in cold rainy Simpsonville at the moment. I'll be back in Travelers Rest by 7 hopefully before the worst of it starts.

yep but it's still on course. None of the models really had it changing over to snow outside of rabun county/higher elevations until or after sunset. Taken verbatim, the fv3 has it occuring between 0z and 03z based on 850mb temps. It shouldn't be long before the upstate changes over. When it happens, It will probably happen in a hurry too. If there is a concern, it's the latest hrrr is a bit warmer than all it's previous runs. It has done a good job on these transitions and precip type the last several storms so i pay close attention to it.

Could be some flooding issues...and thanks to very high winds power outages even without ice. FFC is forecasting 40 to 45mph gusts in athens and gainesville.

Was at South Park all afternoon, all rain there but just got up to Denver and sleet is mixing in here.  Temp at 38.

Good to know, just to your south below Mountain Island Dam, been basically sprinkles, very light rain for maybe last 3 hours.

Should work itself down your way soon, especially with the heavier returns finally moving in.
