That breaks the daily record of -4° that was set this morning. Prior to 2018, the daily record was -2°, which was set in 1972 and tied in 1987. At Binghamton, the temperature was 6°, which breaks the daily record of 7° set this morning. Prior to 2018, the daily record was 10°, which was established in 1989. That is the coldest November reading there since November 21, 1987 when the temperature also fell to 18° At Binghamton, the temperature had fallen to 5°. That further extends today's record low temperature. The previous daily record of 10° was set in 1989. At Saranac Lake, the temperature was -16°. That further extends today's record low temperature. The prior daily record was -2°, which was set in 1972 and tied in 2000. It also sets a new November record. The previous record was -14°, which was set on November 26, 1938 and tied on November 28, 1951. Additional records were set in the past hour at Newark (18°) and LGA (20°). This must be 1.5sd units BN, based on say the last 60 years. As for a snowstorm during the next 15 days, it looks like "Cutter City", relative to the EC. 17.2 at 5am here. 18.5 at 7am. 29.1 at Noon.
