Warm bias with GFS thermals, trending w/ more favorable thermals and placement of low...and rapid collapse in surface temps with heavier rates/CCB. Several 12z runs had us hammering through about 09z. Now 'were mostly done by 03z-06z. I could see it going both ways...we do have a pretty decent flow across the center of the CONUS to try and push it along...but at the same time, these real big bombs tend to hold on for that extra 6-8 hours with a nuking out upper low more than models often give it credit for. This is a big ticket call, I would not want to be giving a public forecast. Based on today's trends I think this could really be a slightly scaled back version of April 97.
