Valentine's Day Storm Obs

Weatherbug has the band of precip over my house, but of course it's virga. Interesting that the returns are already over much of the area.

May have to cut my Burlington visit short if we start getting reports of precip making it to the ground.

Guess we're not making it to 30. Looks like every model is a few degrees too warm, as usual with CAD events. This could make things interesting down the line.

James, do you see any flakes in HP yet? Nothing yet here in SW Forsyth.

Radar looks like crap until later today and even then it looks like the precip is sliding almost due east. We're going to need some Atlantic enhancement like the NAM was hinting at for this to work out anywhere east of the foothills and south of I40 corridor.

I haven't been staring out the window, so I could have missed some, but not that I have seen.

It is interesting that our surface DP continues to drop.  -6F as of 2 PM.

Thanks dcdemondeac. Keep obs coming alot of posters just to your east. If I could see light snow to snow for a few hours today I'll chalk this event up as a win no matter what happens tonight through monday.

I'm 10 mi. south of Winston-Salem in Davidson county.

Nothing here yet, but looking towards Winston, there's a low deck of dark gray clouds - wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't reach the ground there soon.

I am less than a mile from the Davidson line....right at Friedburg Church Rd. No flakes yet either but from the reports, I can't imagine it being long before we see the infamous white stuff.
