I think we will go back to snow later as the coastal takes over . winds still out of nne

The coastal low will help keep surface winds and temps cold, but the sleet, etc., is coming from the upper level lows moving over or northwest of us and pumping in warmer air aloft.  We won't flip back until those are northeast of us, and most of the significant precip will probably be gone by then.

Pounding. Can BOS hit 12?

They're 28/27 and +SN with winds at 010.

unreal Jerry. you had some sick juju with this one...

was supposed to give a talk to ~100 ppl at 11am... i warned the organizers there was a risk of this, no one listened, now it was canceled at last minute.

HRRR keeps 1"+/hr going through noon for us... let's see what we can do here.

u can see that Franklin- Foxboro-Randolph-Scooter area lined up to be crushed next few hrs.....may get lighter N of Bos to framingham line for a bit...

Crushing heavy snow here with some very brief interludes of moderate but then quickly ramps up to SN+ to SN++

Measured between 5" and 6" so I'll go with 5.5"
