Looks like DXR is mixing now...bright banding over them and vis went to 1 SM.

Dual pol has been moving sleet NE, but it hasn't been a steady march, it oscillates at times.

could be all parachutes still for another couple frames judging by dual pol.. it was 35-40dbz snow down here for a little while under bright bands.. (Im going by the danbury dot on radar, dxr south of that maybe?)

Either way, its imminent

Extremely heavy snow right now.  At least 2"/hr rates.

In addition to the great snow growth, there's some very large aggregates mixing in now and then, so there most already be some warmer air aloft.

By the way, is it safe to discount yesterday's NAM yet?

i wonder how long it will be until they remove that model from NCEP?

It appears the heaviest stuff is well south of the NH/VT border.  I'm not sure how the 10"+ forecasts verify in CNE, better ratios?

Wait until later...you'll start catching up as further south dryslots and the upper level support favors snow bands over CNE and prob down to N MA.

Yeah you guys near and north of rt 2 have all day through the evening while the atmosphere chokes down here. Check out the radar off to the west.

Yeah the stuff out in the midwest will get CNE and prob the southern edge down to N of the pike like Hubbdave, Rays area, etc...maybe even BOS-ORH corridor...we'll have to wait and see. But def all afternoon up north.
