Looking to do a short chase for some light snow Just got back from my second chase to the George Washington National Forest. It is coming down good there. Temps are above freezing so only about 5 inches on the ground. But My son insisted he had to see snow. And of course I couldnt turn down the chance to get into it again. Only about 30 minutes from Winchester. Take 81 South. Second exit for Strasburg is 55. Take that west and you will hit the snow in about 8 miles. We camp there in the summer and even in the middle of August, there have been times that the weather changed so fast and dramatically that we were wearing jeans and sweatshirts...in August!
