  2. I think Ineedsnow is looking to take up paragliding. https://www.breitbart.com/sports/2025/05/27/paraglider-suffer-frost-bite-after-being-sucked-into-a-cloud-vortex/
  3. Today
  4. Pouring rain currently here.
  5. It’s all apples to oranges to me. Any day this time of year with practically endless daylight is miles better than the gloominess of the mid winter. And what a beauty it was yesterday!
  6. There's going to be a major break between the two systems and it looks like the sun will come out Thursday afternoon just in time to see Manhattanhenge. You have to treat this like two systems not one. There will be a period of rain Wednesday afternoon to Thursday morning, then a break where the skies will clear for the afternoon. And then another period of rain Friday evening into Saturday morning.
  7. Despite cloudy skies dominating the day, KSAV still had a near normal high of 87. This along with dewpoints ~74 much of the day made it feel quite sticky. We’ve had rain from thunderstorms the last 2?hrs . KSAV received nearly 1”. KSAV hasn’t had a high below 84 for the last two weeks! The month has averaged +3 for the mean temp. Despite a very wet month, the avg high there so far this month has been 87! This is very different from the significantly cooler northern SE!
  8. I was at that game, too. I saw the rainbows, but missed the funnel.
  9. I'm super happy that we're putting a legit dent in our drought, but at the same time, I'm bummed that we're wasting our peak climo period for severe weather. Maybe by the end of next week?.......
  10. Driving east on rt 7 today at 5ish. Right before Tysons corner.
  11. Nice , always enjoy these kind of nights , on the porch listening to the rain on the trees and runoff in the gutters ... Soaking light to moderate rain... About 0.6 on the day.. Much better start to this year so far compared to the previous two years.... Haven't looked at the numbers but seems like more moisture here so far this year than we received all the way up to August last year when Debby/tropics ramped up...
  12. Got up to 66 here and Frederick 71 but quickly down to mid 50’s . Just .12”
  13. A steady all day soaking rain. 1.13” in the bucket so far with some heavier returns set to move in overnight. Currently at 63.5 which is also the high so far as we are warming up into the night. Raw day with mostly 50’s and rain. Another great soaker before the peak of summer
  14. 57/49 right now. Too cold. Gotta get the dews in here.
  15. If this was winter the snow start time would be 12 hours early. Like that could ever happen.
  16. Not much rain in my hood today with only 0.03" in the gauge. High was 71 briefly, but sank to the 60s after the rain this afternoon hit and never recovered. Low was a cool 52, which was great for sleeping on nights. Another wet day over the region tomorrow, a generous offering to us night shifters. Only one left after tonight. Congrats to those getting good rain today!
  17. 0.52 currently under a heavier band of steady rain.
  18. Much slower/drier on the nam
  19. It’s raining so light you could stand outside for 10 minutes and barely be damp.
  20. Approaching .4: great light rain soaker so far....
  21. Today's highs LGA: 76 EWR: 76 TEB: 76 New Brnswck: 75 ISP: 75 NYC: 74 PHL: 74 BLM: 73 JFK: 73 ACY: 72 TTN: 72
  22. This system has reminded me alot of or big snow storm misses. Most of the counties below AGH have seen almost .5 already while AGH is like .04 or something really small.
  23. Had a high of only 56 degrees today! Incredible.
  24. Yeah, getting some light rain here, for about the last 30 minutes.
  25. Looks like it's going to stay along and south of I-78 and I'm in Hazleton so I might stay dry Tomorrow's another story, though...
  26. We’re not who we thought we were.
