  2. We've been lucky/people have been careful, I guess. Utah and especially the Northwest have been far worse, though we've had a few tragic fatalities here. Smoke is mainly aloft, not so much at the surface. More rain is always 5-6 days away. Maybe it will happen, someday. Meanwhile DEN has had its 6th or 7th 100 degree day today.
  3. Smoke may throw a wrench in that perhaps.
  4. Probably off to a slow start and not expecting a very good retention year given the high probability of warmer temp anomalies, but I think we have our chances. And there could be a couple of big boys that help out with the snowfall anomolies, even in a overall hostile regime. That's my early take.
  5. Probably a 5-6 day long heatwave by the time we’re done. These 91 borderline days count.
  6. Heavy rain, wind and lightning kicking us off the golf course around 12:30 today in Pikesville. Second time this week.

  10. I can already feel myself saying "tuck baby tuck"
  11. Very impressive damage summary from BOX from Springfield and adjacent areas!
  12. 91 today. Quick downpour on the boat but cleared after
  13. I love when it’s hot and humid this late at night. Really gives that summer Florida feel. I love it
  14. It was 102 in Fort Collins-Loveland airport 97.5 at Fort Collins weather station The forest fire smoke doesn't seem to want to leave Colorado. Near-surface smoke and air quality have been probably up and down these days. I told you guys a long time ago there would be fire problems. I didn't know if Colorado would have the worst fires. Apparently Colorado hasn't had the worst fires. The smoke and fire has happened in the Oregon and Washington for many days. I think I saw there were 4 fires by Spokane, with suburbs being destroyed, reported on the news.
  15. much appreciation for continuing the art of creating fictional storms in a photo editing software rather than using AI #realweenie
  16. Not too much doubt about the low position...much doubt about the temperature, lol
  17. 12.52” per hour was my high rainfall rate…that explains the water that got into the basement yet again this summer…
  18. You guys did well in 1997-98 if I recall. I would definitely rather have some elevation this winter.
  19. Just got home, trees down in a lot of places in Stafford County, including our yard. Talking to neighbors it seems like it was a downburst around 4:45 PM or so on 8/8.
  20. After dodging storms earlier in the week, we're back in the mud again. 1.03 yesterday and .63 today.
