  1. Past hour
  2. Reality is a couple of moderate dew days then back to complete COC what an awesome summer week
  3. This air quality is something. Code Red Unhealthy for Everyone. That smoky haze…
  4. No its probably the best weekend summer weather all year. People are smiling doing yard work getting ready for parties picnics pool lake ocean.
  5. Low here this morning was 54. Few upper 40's normal NWNJ chilly spots. Great weather to open August. No complaints from me. I guess next up in terms of interesting weather will be how much heat returns in about 10 days or so and what the tropics can produce as MJO comes around into favorable phases. Some interesting ensemble and op model solutions as we head toward mid month. If we can keep some sort of upper ridge parked to our NE might be interesting. Either way overall pattern looks to support more westerly tracks with lower chance of re curvature OTS. We'll see how it plays out.
  6. The worst of this wx is mute behind us. Onwards and upwards in both temps and especially dews
  7. Min 50.7° We’ll tickle these mins up the next couple of nights.
  8. 49 glorious degrees this morning here wish it were these temps all summer!
  9. Yep, saw 44.6 at Canaan NWR earlier. Here the low was 54.9, currently 55.3/54.6 at 8 am with dense fog, less than 0.1 visibility! House is wide open.
  10. 2013-14 and 2014-15 came after low ACE seasons. Low ACE season is pretty much locked unless we get a Hurricane Andrew, and even then, we'll probably still finish below average in ACE. (1992 finished with 76 ACE despite having Hurricane Andrew.) I feel like the hand has been dealt. The East Pacific is having a very active year, while the Atlantic has been very quiet. It's August now, and that's probably not going to suddenly shift gears at this point. (If the Atlantic was going to get active, we would have seen it by now. Even 2004 got started with Alex late in July. We're already past that, and this season has been completely blank.) The question now is if the Atlantic will get that big storm (like Andrew in 1992) or if we're going to get shut out (like in 2013).
  11. Low of 57. 59 currently. Spectacular morning.
  12. Low of 51° here this morning. Forecast looks dry. Most of Franklin County had less than an inch of rain this week which is half or less than a lot of other areas.
  13. Yesterday we picked up 4 rounds of heavy rain. Almost tropical like. Everytime it looked like it was going to let up, it would come right back again in buckets! We ended up with 2.48in for the day along with the cooler weather as well. So thankful for that! I did see where the rain ultimately won out last night in Bristol at the Braves v Reds game. Hopefully they get it in today.
  14. Today
  15. Low of 59.7 so stayed at 60 thankfully
  16. Bottomed out at 61.4 IMBY / east side Columbia.
  17. Whoa 43 at Bittinger near Deep Creek. Crazy
  18. Starting to see an uptick on models. Looks like two possible home grown systems then something from the MDR. August is here!
  19. Yawn, Avondale and PHL are have similar trends for July Highs. All you are showing is that your station average doesn't match individual station data. Big change in the station network since 1970. The average station today is 100' higher.
