  1. Past hour
  2. Nantucket is pretty damn close and who cares? The NHC isn't naming this because they are concerned about US effects. The low has much stronger winds over the open ocean southeast of New England.
  3. @high risk @WxUSAF @wxmeddler @Kmlwx @vortex95 @Eskimo Joe I just read TIM warnings may start in 2028? Thoughts? Some background on the idea... looks like its been in development for some time https://inside.nssl.noaa.gov/facets/2021/03/threats-in-motion/ https://journals.ametsoc.org/view/journals/wefo/36/2/WAF-D-20-0159.1.xml
  4. Getting an early signal from the ensembles for dry and sunny weather to close out the month with high pressure dominating. The smoothed out ensembles currently have mid 60s on Halloween which would be warmer than average. The average split is 61/44 for spots like Newark. Almanac for NEWARK LIBERTY INTL AP, NJ October 31, 2026 Daily Data Observed Normal Record Highest Record Lowest Max Temperature M 61 83 in 2024 41 in 1869 Min Temperature M 44 62 in 2019 26 in 1893

  6. Maybe an "E.T. the Extraterrestrial" movie kind of Halloween this year!!! Costume without coats!!!
  7. Good thing we don’t look at that modem anymore.
  8. Ive skied Killington four times in October I think. When I was really young with my grandfather, twice in high school and in 2015. I've actually hiked and skied natural snow in the mountains more often in October than I have lift serve, there were several times in the late 2010's I found some great turns up high in October. Been a bit lacking lately with kids getting older and less chances for snow.
  9. Now we get Halloweens more like the ones in the 1982 movie "E.T. the Extraterrestrial" and impatiens and roses in December for NYC.
  10. Ok guy. Complete non event. No where on land is verifying anywhere close to TS conditions in this; despite the stupid maps the NHC put out.
  11. Next 5 days of back and forth looks to average near normal before the pattern warms going into November.
