This is one of the biggest snows I've seen in my life. Includes a lot of big ones In Boston. I can't wait to see what day light brings.

Light sleet and freezing drizzle mix now, final snow and sleet accumulation (as long as there isn't any backside snow) was 11.7"

Over 10" down, 5" since 8pm. Should have no problem breaking that 16" Christmas Eve surprise.

In Odenton we had about 8-10” total snow/sleet/freezing rain. So much ZR at the end that when I walked outside i didn’t fall through right away at 200lbs. Dog looks likes she’s some sort of canine Jesus walking on the surface of the snow.

Can we maybe keep the postmortem about this storm out of the medium and long range thread please? Also, maybe we should move over to the February threads since February is now the medium to long range. .

Snow growth has improved considerably closer to the dryslot. Absolutely choking flakes right now

I’m curious how the snowgrowth will be tomorrow… best lift looks lower than today, like 925-850 or 700 Interesting with all the discussion of 12-15:1 SLRs and good crosshair progged the initial few hours, the snowgrowth struggled…

We got up to 33, the forecast was 39, CAD won.

is this reverse lake effect snow? I've never seen a band go east to west over the great lakes

Went outside to do some clean up and it is freezing rain/drizzle now, so no sense on clearing it and then end up with an icy sidewalk and walkway. Deal with it tomorrow. Good thing it's only a coating and nowhere near the amount that it could've been.

just did a 5 measurement average for 18.2" and cleared the board and walk again, we'll see what falls between now and tomorrow morning and add em up, impressive in only about 12 hours of legit rates, maybe even less because around 9/930 is when it really started dumping, first flakes at 0645. will take a 24 hr measure at 0645 tomorrow morning. and I guess I'm solo cleaning because everyone is sick in this house but me... outstanding!

Well, I've got more shoveling to do tomorrow. My road is impassible still. Adrenaline is wearing off and maybe ready to go to bed... So who's staying up for 00z runs for what's next!? (Kidding, I think)

When I was out taking my measurements and the scooping off sleet there was a little light snow that change to sleet. I'm still adding trace amounts to my total.

See some droplets on the window so must be some light freezing rain now... Just hit 20°.

Mid-level banding may save us up here. The lift seems to be at 700-600mb.

That was crazy, most snow of I've ever seen here and is was all ultra wet Sierra cement. Tried to plow all at once at the end, which obviously didn't go well.
