Spring 2026 Pattern Discussion Thread
Carvers Gap replied to Carvers Gap's topic in Tennessee Valley
My grass was late-August crunchy last week. Today, it is recovering and green. What a difference a week makes. Rain is in the forecast as it should be for this time of year. I was running on the greenbelt and ended up in a flooded section - we have had that much rain. This isn't a big creek nor was there any current....I went on through it. It was surprisingly cold. The humidity is what I am having to get used to!- 244 replies

Caught the edge of a small storm and picked up another .31".

Today is easily a 10 as far as I’m concerned. Maybe if I’m being really nitpicky I’d take one point off just for the sky high pollen count and the occasional busy bee getting a little too curious when rummaging around the garden. But man this is just beautiful all around!

Occasional Thoughts on Climate Change
donsutherland1 replied to donsutherland1's topic in Climate Change
Today was another day of insane climate change-driven heat in France. Nearly 400 monthly records were broken. 122 locations hit 35.0C (95.0F) or above while 27 reached 36C (96.8F) or above. -

The word perfect should reserved for days when it is 98/76 and overnight temperatures hover 73-77. That is perfection.

Where’s your camp, Millinocket? Lincoln?

2026-2027 Strong/Super El Nino
Stormchaserchuck1 replied to Stormchaserchuck1's topic in Weather Forecasting and Discussion
CFS has an extreme trend bias. It runs daily so you can find some big runs in there sometimes. The last few La Nina's it had peaks in the Mod-Strong ONI range on a few dailies, I think. -
